New data released in Caregiving in the US 2025, a report from the National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP, show that family caregivers are more strapped than ever – providing more complex care for longer than ever. Nearly half experience negative financial impacts, and 1 in 4 feels alone in their caregiving journey. While recognition of America’s family caregivers – and the issues impacting them – has never been greater, and progress has been made, it’s not enough to meet the growing needs of family caregivers across the nation. Now is the time for bold solutions and unified action to make caregiving more sustainable, equitable, and dignified.

As the National Alliance for Caregiving’s signature event, the Summit lifts up the voices of the 63+ million family caregivers across the country to drive policy change and improve the systems that support them.
Each year, the Summit serves as a cornerstone event for the caregiving community. It draws more than 800 advocates in person and online and delivers caregivers’ voices directly to Capitol Hill through 100+ meetings with members of Congres
